The Secret to Being Yourself Again

What if the most powerful thing you can do, during the sticky, icky phases of transforming to that next best version of yourself is to create a new relationship with your emotional experience.

***And not ALL of it is tough, transformation is also full of a lot of joy and excitement. I just want to focus on how to honor this work when it feels really uncomfortable.

The work of engaging with our emotions is simpler than you’d think.

It might feel awful…..at first.

And then relief and wisdom and insight and just plain calm follow.

Now I’m going to be brutally honest with you. I still resist doing this work, until my system won’t let me ignore it.

I’m so thankful that I lean in though and I invite you to do the same.

The simplicity of being an observer of your emotions makes it, might I say, feel silly sometimes.

But it IS the magic sauce. Don't miss it. It is the space of breakthrough for me AND for my clients.

So let’s do it together…..you’re invited to this practice vs resistance. You tell me if it works.

Pause, Be Present in this moment, breathe……..just be here and notice your breath. Notice your butt in the chair, your feet on the floor. Be with yourself and this gorgeous vessel you live in.

Pause: When it gets hard, when you feel like shit…..pause. Be with what is here.

Be Present with it: Where do you feel this emotion in your body? Is it moving? Is it firm? Is it heavy or light? What color is it?

…..stay with me here. Just be an observer of that sensation that is getting your attention in your body.

Do you want to allow this energy to move?

Breathe calmly, curiously………..

Notice, now, how do you feel in your body? Does anything feel different?

Take time to journal if that is your practice, take time to just be here, what is coming up for you, if anything?.
