Awareness Is King but Comes With a Warning

I am celebrating my 11th year in business this month and I thought that a fun way to celebrate would be to share 11 key insights you can have in your growth. I’m going to share some pillars, some tools and perfect ways to move forward in your life as a leader and as a person.I’ve learned so much doing my own work in these years and even more gratifying is learning from my clients in the past 11 years.

Why?

Because I love putting tools in your hands. It is how I coach and it is the way I want to show up for you, my community.

Because, yes, many high impact leaders wait until something falls apart to hire me. I’d love to create resources to create bandwidth, support and growth so that when life hands you a twist, you are more resourced than if you hadn't heard from me.

Let’s Go!

Self Awareness is THE most powerful tool in growth and key in helping your actions to align with your goals and intentions. But it comes with a warning, don’t use self awareness against yourself.

I’m going to start with paying some attention to the relationships in your life: team, family, friends and colleagues. As a high integrity leader this is where you can have the most impact in the world. By leaning in and pausing and turning up your awareness.

Would you like to be contributing more in your relationships? I’m talking about the team you work with or lead and also your personal life. Somehow in the stress of the everyday, our key relationships are the ones that suffer the most when we’re successful in our work.

So, what is one way you can create more awareness of how you are showing up with people that are important to you? Does it feel authentic or rote? Do you spend enough time in conversations? Are you setting aside time for yourself SO THAT you have the capacity to ‘show up’ for those you are leading or living with?

Good questions, am I right? One reason it is hard to look at these is when we are a bit off or don’t love our own behavior, we get extremely judgmental and that shuts down any ability to make a shift. What if you could lean into being self aware in an area of your life that is getting your attention right now as you read this?

Take this week…….give yourself some time to notice what you notice and nothing else. Why do I start with relationships? Because our personal relationships are one of the areas that suffer the most when our work lives demand a lot of attention or when life gets challenging.

This is the warning part......promise me something. Look with Curiosity not Judgment, but do look. What you are most craving in your life right now might need some awareness and nothing more to make a shift that matters. A shift that is more in alignment with who you are.

Next week……..I’ll share with you more about staying curious and why it is so important AND so powerful in unlocking patterns that don’t serve you any longer.

Xoxo,

Diana
