The HUGE value of BREAKING ROUTINE

Since my overseas trip in May, I have had anything but a regular schedule. What a wonderful experience.

The bustling streets in Istanbul to the hidden gem of Yereven, Armenia, then a restorative couple of weeks at home to a retreat/salon experience in Mystic, CT with colleagues, that I have done life with online, and couldn’t wait to meet in-person. A surprise 24-hour visit with a bestie who carved out time in New Haven before her son’s destination wedding in Prague. An Amtrak trip to Baltimore. Hanging out with my son as we carpooled his daughter to princess camp and swim team. My first grandparent babysitting gig as my kids went on a weekend beach trip. Oh I had help, thank you Eric!

My senses are overloaded in the best way. My playlists went from our favorite Indie Rock music to a lot of versions of Frozen. The food, enjoyed in fresh air that didn’t taste anything like home, to processed mac n cheese with the kiddos. The people: from new friends, to life long besties, to getting to know ‘new to me’ family members.

This last 40 days have kind of broken my brain in a really delightful way. I haven’t been out of the country in years, and now I know that I'll be planning an adventure every year. I will be on the look out to spend more time with friends, near and far. I am going to keep stepping into the way I want to live, but also the way I want to run my business. I’m craving a new way of looking at my calendar and creating new ways of working with others in my coaching. I’ve also hired a new assistant, investing in support I’m planning on needing this fall.

I’m giving all of these experiences time to integrate, one of THE best practices you can do to inform your next. It used to be so hard for me to slow down, my brain fought the rest, the pondering, the letting things land. Now I crave it and create time for it. Lovely summer schedules where my calendar is spacious, making this easier in this round. I trust what is coming next and can’t wait to see it unfold.

  • What is getting your attention in your real and amazing life?

  • What do you need to say yes to NOW?

  • What do you need to plan for yourself?

  • What are you craving?

  • What do you need think about and then decide?

Our lives are our own design. They don’t happen to us, we create them. And when they don’t fit or are not working anymore, it is time to step back and make some decisions.

What are you ready to open up to and create next? My group experiences are designed for you to get access to what might be inviting you next. See links in the ps for info.

Thanks for being here,

Diana
