Canva Quote Unexpected kindness

We think we will have good self-esteem when we have lost the weight.

But what is really true is we need to esteem, love and take care of ourselves in order to lose the weight for good.

There was something different for me this last time I attempted to lose weight. Yep, there were many crazy diets and attempts at losing weight before this go round.

This time I was willing to learn, to take it slow and to be honest with myself about what I really needed in terms of food and what was best for my body.

I was practicing self-esteem. Maybe the dictionary definition will help you.

Esteem: respect and admiration. Honor, revere, respect. To regard highly or favorably. See Appreciate.

Antonym: Disdain

It didn?t happen overnight but I know with every fiber of my being that the success happened because I was finally being kind, patient and loving to myself.

What if this week, you practiced holding yourself in high esteem and not disdain?

Having trouble getting there? Let me guide you in one Mini-session to a practice of respect and admiration for your self.
