I hear it in all types of shapes and forms:
“Why can’t I figure this out?”
“I thought I made peace with that.”
“Wait, I was feeling great about this yesterday?”
In coaching conversations, in normal everyday life personal growth, we will have epiphanies, times of clarity where we SEE how we were thinking about something that was creating an unwanted result. We literally feel and experience a shift.
And then life happens and …
We FEEL like we are right back where we started.
What the hell, right?
I read a few emails last night and felt discouraged. That familiar voice, perked up and invited me to believe, “You’re not doing it right”, and another knife twisting one, “what you’re dreaming, nope, ain’t gonna happen.”
Thanks, but no thanks…
I want to remind you of 2 things.
Our mind invites you to believe crappy thoughts
Our mind invites us to manage it
I chose the latter and you can too.
NO ONE and NO CIRCUMSTANCE can take away your growth.
There is no going back when we learn how to think and believe bravely about the important things in our lives.
Stop and remember…..the truth……that you have come so far AND that space where you want to go, it is inevitable.
Choose to manage your mind not fight with it.
Double down on spending time believing in your goals.
It’s a process that is never one and done, but you can NEVER go back to the beginning, that is impossible my friend.
