If you had ever questioned your own resilience I would seriously look at how you?re responding to and handling:
- 6 months of a pandemic
- News (all the things)
- Home schooling (without signing up for it),
- Staying connected with humans (zoom fatigue and masks and all)
- Handling big pivots in your business
- Still showing up in your business despite All of The Above
You are resilient.
Don?t let your brain tell you any different.
Resilience, that bouncing back, taking action no matter what. It is a good thing. Right?
I am sensing a deep weariness in myself and all of us. This is a great time for us to stop and assess:
Am I giving myself what I need? What?s missing? What do I need?
Humans are powerfully resilient. We see it all of the time, in our cancer survivor friends, in our aging parents handling loss and their own health issues, friends losing marriages, colleagues losing jobs, all of it. It?s a powerful human trait.
But the cost. How do we ?Do Resilient? without causing ourselves harm? How do we get revived or restored during this year we?re calling 2020, or in any challenging season in our lives.
I think resilience pays off when we are mindful of our personal needs and I find it fascinating and reassuring that when I stop to ask what do I need now, my brain QUICKLY will come up with an answer.
If you think resilience is costing you too much, it?s simply time to stop and assess. Taking small steps towards what you need is quick and powerful.
