Put your $$$ where your time is!
You’ve heard that phrase “put your $ where you mouth is.” But I want to flip this a bit and ask you, are you putting your time your efforts closest to your results.
I recently lead a pop up retreat for business owners in Atlanta. We gathered to plan the next 90 days in our business. I’m leading these business owners in what I have discovered this year. I was doing a LOT of things that were working in my business, I simply needed to do more of the activities that worked vs the ones that I thought I SHOULD be doing.
Do you want more of what you have?
As business owners, when we want growth we can inadvertently think we need to switch it up and do something new. Before you do that, take a look at what activities work for your business and see if you can invest more time there.
Simply spend more time where things ARE working.
How do you know if you’re NOT putting your time in the right places?
- You’re working long hours but not seeing the results.
- You have very full days but are in angst about the growth.
- You feel ‘busy’ but not inspired and full of energy. .
Take a brave look at your calendar and ask yourself……
How many hours are you doing things that are closest to the client, closest to the $$$.
What are day to day activities that foster powerful relationships?
Are you asking and delivering from this question, “What do my clients need from me? “ Am I spending time serving them well?
Make more room for these and bravely drop the busy work, the activities that you might need to delegate. Those actions that are 2 steps away from your customer or connectors.
The GOOD NEWS, when we are taking action closer to the business, we not only grow in $$$’s, we grow as experts, we create momentum, and it is much more satisfying to be spending our working hours in this way.
