I?ve been working really hard to get my business up and running, fast!!! I want to be the best student when I?m in coaching and business classes, and I want to be the first one to have their stuff done. Woah, I feel like I?m walking in mud right now and feeling like a D Student. Why? Because Fast doesn?t always work so well.
Yep, I can picture my future business. I?ve taken some really courageous steps, I?ve been coaching some amazing people and I am coaching them well. I’m really showing up for them. What I?m realizing when I try to go fast, I?m really not showing up for myself. I?m trying to go passed the basic steps and trying to cram for the Final.
Why? Because showing up for me is selfish? Nope, because it?s uncomfortable. It?s that quiet time alone at your desk, gutting out content, writing horrible stuff, rewriting it, thrashing around feeling not so confident. So I blame it on being dumb about technology, and go set my sights on doing something else.
Are you trying something new? Are you trying to lose weight? Wanting to live a healthier lifestyle? Have you found yourself trying to do it fast, thinking it needs to be done perfectly? Are you putting aside your intentions to help someone else, do something else more comfortable? All that?s needed is working through some mild discomfort.
What I am realizing is that when I don?t show up for myself, I?m not only disappointed and feeling guilty that I didn?t do what I set out to do, but I?m also feeling stood up because it was for me, for my business. I think I?ll choose ONE set of negative emotions, thank you, and start showing up for my own appointments and gut through that uncomfortable fear and move forward.
Actually, it is quite a relief!
As you are practicing Showing Up for yourself in working on losing weight, what are you noticing? ?What feelings come up for you?
