I’ve spent a LOT of time in my life as a coach ‘thinking’ that others always had it all put together, that they were never as stressed out or frustrated as I was.

I’ve been managing my mind since 2014 when I decided to become a coach and was a student of Brooke Castillo’s.

I really did think there was a point where I would ARRIVE and be calm and grounded all of the time. Nice lie, huh?

Of course that is not true. My mind had a thought that if I was great at self coaching, and I was a really good coach, I would not experience crappy emotions anymore. Well a lot less, anyway!!!!

Well, of course NOT! I’m a human, with a brain AND so are you.

So if coaching for this long didn’t help me to feel better all of the time, what did it do?

It taught me to be a POWERFUL manager of my mind.

It taught me that I can intentionally think well of myself and others.

It taught me how to pull myself off the cliff when something triggered my fear.

It taught me how to give myself space to experience all of the feelings and take action where I had intended ANYWAY.

There are times I can see HUGE GROWTH in how I respond in situations. Ie: 2 hour flight delay last week. Totally calm and ok.

And today my heart is in my throat when my accountant asked about some past payments. I’m just sure I did something wrong…….So I’m allowing that feeling and reminding myself that I’m ok.

Stress and Worry does NOT need to be a predominant experience as a business owner. It steals our joy and makes it really hard to move forward and make the decisions we need to in our business.
